The Send-off Ceremony for the SEA-Teacher Batch 10.2 Program in 2025

The SEA-Teacher Program (Southeast Asian Teacher Project) is a flagship initiative aimed at providing teaching practicum opportunities for education students from Southeast Asian countries. This program is organized by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) to enhance participants’ teaching competencies, cross-cultural interactions, and understanding of the education systems in their assigned countries.

The Send-off Ceremony for the SEA-Teacher Batch 10.2 Program in 2025 was held on January 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM Central Indonesia Time (WITA) on the second floor of the Rectorate Building. During the ceremony, Undana officially sent off 14 students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) to the Philippines and Thailand, where they will participate in the SEA-Teacher Program for one month.

The event was attended by various important figures, including the Rector, Vice Rector for Student Affairs (Vice Rector III), Dean of FKIP, and the Head of the International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Nusa Cendana. Their presence demonstrated strong institutional support for the program. In addition, the ceremony offered students the opportunity to receive direct motivation and guidance from university leaders, helping to boost their confidence before departing to their host countries.

The event was carried out successfully. Institutional support played a key role in facilitating logistics, such as venue preparation, equipment, and catering, which ensured that the program proceeded as planned. However, some challenges were encountered, such as strict time management, where the organizing committee had to coordinate multiple agenda items within a limited timeframe. As a result, the committee needed to maximize the available resources and ensure that all facilities and arrangements were managed efficiently despite constraints.
