Signing of the Mutual Arrangement and Re-Opening of the #AussieBanget Corner

The Aussie Banget Corner (ABC) is a center for information and cultural collaboration aimed at strengthening the relationship between Indonesia and Australia, particularly in the areas of higher education, culture, and student exchange.

The Re-Opening of the Aussie Banget Corner at Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana), Kupang, is part of the ongoing effort to enhance the partnership between Undana and the Australian Government through the Australian Consulate-General in Bali.

This event was organized by the International Relations Office (IRO) of Universitas Nusa Cendana as part of the university’s internationalization efforts and aims to broaden student access to information and opportunities for studying in Australia.

The Re-Opening Ceremony of the Aussie Banget Corner was held at Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana), marking an important step in strengthening the partnership between the Australian Government and Undana. During the event, both parties signed a Mutual Arrangement to formalize the continued collaboration and operational activities of the #AussieBanget Corner, which is located on the 1st Floor of the Rectorate Building.

The main objectives of this event were as follows:

  1. To strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and culture between the Australian Government and Undana, particularly in promoting educational programs and opportunities in Australia;
  2. To formalize the shared commitment through the signing of the Mutual Arrangement, which serves as the foundation for ongoing collaboration with the Australian Embassy, including access to credible and curated information sources about Australia;
  3. To reactivate the #AussieBanget Corner as a hub of information and interaction, offering materials related to education, culture, scholarships, and study opportunities in Australia—accessible to students, lecturers, and the general public;
  4. To enhance cross-cultural understanding and broaden the international perspective of Undana’s academic community, while encouraging participation in exchange programs and other global initiatives;
  5. To build an inclusive and inspiring space for collaboration, fostering young people’s interest in global studies and academic networking, particularly with Australian educational institutions.
