The SEA Teacher Program or “Southeast Asian Teacher Project” is a student exchange program organized by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization). This program aims to provide opportunities for pre-service student teachers from Southeast Asian countries to engage in cross-country teaching practicum and to gain cultural understanding in the host country.
For Batch 10.2, the program is conducted in two phases: February – March 2025 and April – May 2025. It involves participation from several universities across SEAMEO member countries, including Indonesia.
The objectives of this program are as follows:
- To provide teaching practicum experience in an international setting.
- To enhance cross-cultural communication skills.
- To broaden students’ understanding of educational systems in other countries.
- To foster regional cooperation in the field of education.
- To improve students’ competencies in pedagogy, English language proficiency, and cultural adaptability.
The SEA-TEACHER Batch 10.2 Phase 2 Program is scheduled to take place from April 16 to May 13, 2025. This program is implemented at Nusa Cendana University, in collaboration with two partner schools: SD Kristen Citra Bangsa Kupang and Buoyant Montessori School. The participants of the SEA Teacher Batch 10.2 Phase 2 program are students from Mariano Marcos State University.
