Visa

There are two ways to apply for a student visa. The first, you can apply direct for a study permit or KITAS. Second, you can use VITAS as the initial entry and then replace it with a KITAS as a study permit.

      • Applying for a study permit. At this point, you may still be abroad. Therefore, Undana will help you with the application process to get your Study Permit from the Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education. The documents you need to submit to apply for a Study Permit include:
            • Three copies of your passport;
            • A copy of the Recommendation Letter issued by your university;
            • A copy of your Letter of Acceptance;
            • The completed application form;
            • A Letter of Recommendation from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate in your country of residence;
            • A copy of your academic transcript and records;
            • Curriculum Vitae (CV);
            • Two passport-sized photographs;
            • A Letter of Financial Guarantee or a sponsorship certificate that proves you can cover your study and living expenses; and Health certificate.

          • Changing a VITAS into a KITAS. Within 30 days of your arrival in Indonesia with your VITAS, you have to go to the Immigration Department so that you can receive your KITAS (temporary residence permit). Although the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration has an online facility for KITAS applications, you still have to go to the Immigration Offices in person to make the fee payment and receive the KITAS Stamp on your passport.
              • To apply for a student KITAS in Indonesia, you have to submit the following documents:
              • Your passport;
              • Letter of Acceptance;
              • A Letter of Recommendation or the Certificate of Sponsorship from your university;
              • A copy of the telex visa;
              • A copy of your Study Permit;
              • CV;
              • Academic reports;
              • Proof of financial responsibility from your parents, legal guardians, or a sponsor during your studies

                 Immigration Service : 

            • Changing a VITAS into a KITAS.
